Premium Materials & Build Quality
When investing in a running shoe, durability is just as important as comfort. The Brooks Adrenaline GTS 25 is built with high-quality materials designed to withstand hundreds of miles of wear and tear.
⭐ Upper: Engineered Mesh & Flat-Knit Collar
This breathable combination provides a secure, trusted fit. It offers both the structure to lock your foot in place and the flexibility to accommodate natural movement and swelling during long runs.
⭐ Midsole: Nitrogen-Infused DNA LOFT v3
The latest evolution of Brooks' cushioning. The nitrogen-infusion process creates a lighter, more responsive, and incredibly soft foam that doesn't "bottom out" over time, ensuring consistent comfort.
⭐ Outsole: High-Abrasion Rubber
Strategically placed in high-wear zones, the durable rubber outsole provides excellent traction on wet and dry surfaces while resisting premature wear, significantly extending the shoe's lifespan.
Our Experience & Tips
After running in the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 25 for everything from easy 3-milers to half-marathon training, a few things stood out immediately. First, it is the most versatile stability shoe available. The GuideRails system provides support only when you need it, meaning the shoe doesn't fight you if your form is clean, but it catches you the second your ankle starts to roll inward. Second, the DNA LOFT v2 cushioning strikes a perfect balance—it is soft enough for long runs, but firm enough that you don't feel stuck in the mud. Our biggest tip: the Adrenaline runs slightly small. If you are used to older models or have wide toes, definitely order a half size up to prevent black toenails on downhills.
Compared to the rigid, uncomfortable stability shoes of the past, the GTS 25 feels like a neutral trainer with a safety net. It is surprisingly lightweight and transitions smoothly from heel to toe. It is the gold standard for a reason—it just works, day in and day out, without causing blisters or shin splints.
What to Consider Before Buying
Before you buy, make sure you actually need a stability shoe. If you are a neutral runner, the Adrenaline will overcorrect your gait and can cause pain on the outside of your knees and shins. If you don't overpronate, buy the Brooks Ghost instead. Also, keep in mind that while the GTS 25 is great for daily training, it is still a stability shoe at heart. It lacks the pop and responsiveness of a carbon-plated racer, so you wouldn't want to use it for track intervals or 5K race day. Finally, the outsole is incredibly durable, which means it also takes a little while to break in. Give it 20 to 30 miles before you decide if the cushioning is right for you.
If you are someone who experiences shin splints, knee pain, or your ankles roll inward when you run (overpronation), the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 25 will be a game-changer for you. It takes the stress off your joints so you can focus purely on the joy of the run.
